Hello everyone,
my redfoot hatchling is about 4 months old now and is doing great. Chevy has been eating a varied diet, gets soakings once a day, has constant+80% humidity, and is very active.
The only thing that has me somewhat concerned is the new growth on her shell is slightly raised. If you run your finger on her shell it is more noticeable but the new growth is actually raised above her scutes, almost like a reverse pyramiding.
my question is: is this normal for new growth to be slightly raised and will it eventually smooth out? Could this be a product of improper diet or temperature? Please let me know what you think. Thanks!
