Depends on what your tort has been eating (also, torts do have this silly habit of eating their poo---this can sometimes lead to a dark color around their mouth)...also, food item colors can dictate stain colors of their beaks....

Oh those confusing little Greeks. That are not even found in Greece. Oh yeah, they look like Greek mosaics. Silly scientists. Tricks are for kids.
Okay, I have one like the description you gave of yours. Apparently, if wild caught (I got mine at PetSmart) the orange color may have something to do with their native soil/range where the terrain is kinda orange-y in color. One of our experts may have more info for us.
