[Bowser-the-Redfoot]

Hey guys thanks for viewing this, I was just wondering how much protein I should feed my 1 month old Redfoot tortoise? I know it says about 1 ounce per month, but thats for adults correct? I was planning on just using some organic cat food (wet).

Also how much calcium? I'm using the repcal calcium with d/3. Should I just sprinkle some on his food?

I would appreciate some advice

I don't know if you've read any care sheets on redfoots or not, but here are a couple links. If you read the section on feeding, it will tell you how much to feed and what kind of protein:

I sprinkle calcium over my tortoises' food about three times a week.

Thanks for the website! I especially like the tortoise library one! I do have one more question though... If I give it cuttlebone should I put calcium on the food? Or is the cuttlebone good by itself?

I never fed protein until mine was 6 months old, but I always left a cuttlebone in the viv.
