If these reds eat my banana trees I don't know what would survive.

Try These.
I planted them years ago and later found out that they were NOT EDIBLE.
However, I've kept them because my Reds Have never so much as nibbled on them.
The name escapes me at the moment. Leriopi? But they've been in there over 5 years.
I had purchased them thinking they were spider plants.
My group has eaten or otherwise destroyed every other plant.

Did they eat it or trample it to death?
These plants are very dense in the center and they resist my tortoises plowing through it.

They ate it to the ground . I'm telling you if I fell down they would eat me . Then with my blood on their little faces they would trip my wife and eat her to. lol

A little show and tell. Look how big my Clover is ! Wow when I got her she fit in my hand . Now I can barely hold her with one hand and snap a picture. Man I love my reds!

My next big thing is trying to find plants they will not eat . For cover and shade . They eat anything I add as fast as I add it .
From what I've read here on the forum, try lavender plants. Tortoises don't like the taste and they bush out nice for shade/cover, they smell nice for us bipeds and they even look nice. Best in full sun. Careful though, they attract honeybees to the flowers. Good around the front porch to keep salespeople away to as a bonus.

Out of all the colors in the crayon box it had to be purple. I really don't like that color . But if it keeps the tortoise happy I'll compromise.
