Please help with beak

Hi guys my tortoise appears to have cracked his lower beak and it is almost hanging forward and stopping him from eating. I don't know how this happened one morning I went to feed him and it was like this. Can anyone please help me any advice on what to do will be greatly appreciated. I have tried to attach pictures below to look at

You may have to have a vet remove it for you. It's painful and will continue to be so until the loose piece is removed. It won't reattach, but new beak will grow in it's place. You may need to chop up the food for a while so he doesn't have to bite.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick I will contact my vet first thing tomorrow morning. I am guessing this is something I cannot remove myself ?

It might bleed and the vet has the means to stop the bleeding.
