Please help my friend’s baby sulcata (nostrils plugged)

E2A51B84-E3A5-4CB8-80CF-C5AF7DA55E59.jpeg My friend’s Sulcata has been having blocked or covered nose like this (picture attached) and he has done literally everything from soaking to poking it slowly but nothing seems to work

The baby is still quite active and eating normally.
What do you think happened? Please help!

Under a VERY bright light, maybe even out in the sun, and using an optivisor or magnifying glass, use a needle or straight pin to pick at the nostrils. Be very careful.

He already tried it Ivonne. It worked then it happened again. What do you think is happening?

When he got the substance out the first time what did it look like? Was it hard? Did it look like his bark? Food possibly?

It kinda looks like peeled skin. And now it just blocks his nose again. We are really confused as to what is happening to this little fella.

Don’t panic about nostrils being covered. Torts aren’t “plumbed” like humans. A Torts nostrils lead straight into the mouth, so torts breathing through the mouth is normal.

Clear whatever it is if you can, but if appetite, activity and behaviour are otherwise normal don’t worry too much and just keep an eye on it.
