Planting inside enclosure

I would like to start putting in plants/weeds etc., but what soil do you use to plant. I wouldn't think you could use the soil with the white fertilizer right? ? ?

help.

You can plant it in 50/50 bed a beast and play sand. No you cannot use that type of soil.

Geez Tracy with all the recent changes in your tortoise/turtle herds you should really update your signature lines on all the boards! hehehehehehehe

Also if your buying plants, be sure to give them a period of time where they are allowed to just get rid of any chemicals they might have been given by the growers. It's not just the dirt you need to worry about that they come in. Many are watered with a liquid fertilizer or systemic. Which means the leaves and blooms may carry harmful chemicals.

It's best to gently rinse the plant roots to get off as much of the potting mix they came in off.

Like said above by Tracy, the bedding substrate they are on is also great for growing plants.
