I recently got accepted into a reptile photography club on the site I moderate, so I’ll probably use this thread to dump the pictures. This week’s theme was “hearts”!

@Maro2Bear These pics you have been sharing are excellent! You have a gift in capturing the feel of a place, then leading my mind to reflect on the subject.

The sturdiness of that wood fence that just stops...and actually doesn't fence anything. But there could be small animals living beneath it, and depending on it for their lives.

In spring, the little birdies, squirrels, chipmunks, and the occasional deer will gather on the fence, gossipping about the news...(did you hear the Robins' split up? Yes, they're both here, but they were 5 days apart...and I saw him with 2 worms, and he didn't even bring her a bite!! They're done, you'll see!)

Silly, I know, but that's what a good, well composed image should do to viewers. Impress them with composition, but they don't even realize why the pic is so good! Nudge the senses, and open the imagination to be a part of the scene, not just looking at it as something stagnant.

Well, off my soapbox...did I mention that I like that photo?

With your permission, I might enjoy using this one and the snowy lane in the woods as home and lockscreen pix on my phone.

Gorgeous Spring-like temperatures here in Maryland yesterday. With temps in 70’s I normally would have been out kayaking...BUT due to the Polar Vortex all of our local waterways were frozen solid. Just redirected my efforts to some hiking and explored properties owned and operated by the Smithsonian Environmental Rearch Center.

Wonderful Foot Bridges Along the Marsh Areas
