Is Peat Moss a good substrate? I currently use Eco Earth Coconut fiber but I notice my torts keep eating the strands and it gets stuck in their little mouths. I saw some peat moss at Home Depot and I was wondering if this is safe?ImageUploadedByTortForum1398438026.899972.jpg

Any helps great thanks!

i can't really tell from the bag but if it doesn't have any additives i don't see what the problem would be

Home Depot claims it is organic and it says so on the bag. Does that mean it has no additives? I want to use it as a substrate for my baby Sulcatas.

i would read the ingrediance listing on the back to make sure there is no perlite or anything and if nothing is listed on the back then i'd say yea it's organic weather or not it's good for a sulcata i'm not sure i have a redfoot
