I was wondering, how do you need to house a pancake tortoise? In a year I’m thinking about getting one.
for a baby, you would want a 20-50 gallon tank if it is an adult you would want 50-100 gallon tank the baby would be the best way to go
for heating and light, you would want to have a simple 100*F heat lamp
the lighting would be either UV, UVC or UVB
food for youngsters should be around their shell size so then they don't ingest too much.
If you need any other answers just comment.
FWIW - UVC is deadly and most tubes that you might buy to not emit it. 100F is too hot for pancakes. If they have a warming area in the high 80F to mid 90F that they can readily get away from, they seem to like an ambient in the mid 80F. With multiple hides, a group of 1.2 or 1.3 does well in an enclosure with 2 x 4 foot print, but larger is better.
