Would anyone from the northwest be willing to share with me where they purchase their substrate? I used to get a coconut based bark from home depot, but when I went to stock up again recently I discovered they no longer carry that or anything else that would be remotely close to appropriate. I'm trying to avoid the expensive stuff at the pet store.

I'm in central washington and have been looking all over town for awhile now, but I'll go to either side of the state, even Idaho or portland to stock up on the right stuff.

Wilco, Lowes, random farm and garden stores.

I use bark mulch, large bark chips, peat moss and sphagnum. I buy the big bags you find stacked outside for cheap. :)

I get my organic top soil and sphagnum peat moss bails at Wilco farm and feed. Not so sure what they carry this time of year though.
