It was in the mid 80s today, so I decided to get the tortoise pen back in good shape. It looks like we're having an early Spring this year!

The pen under construction. I'm removing all of the old fences and putting in new ones to make multiple enclosures for any rescues coming in this year.

This is what it looked like last year.

Sulcata/Leopard pen that I made from a tree that was cut down. It should do the job.

Cannas are springing up! I was so excited to see this.

Don't worry Matt. We're sending some more winter Eastbound in the next few days. Most of January felt like spring here. Feb brought winter back with it.

Nice pens. It'd be nice to live in a place where stuff "just grew" without having to keep it soaking wet and shaded.

Winter weather is headed back to Vegas again tonight.... Our high on Sunday is going to be around 50. On the bright side, next week we should be nearing the 70s, and should be good from there on. Just when all the animals get comfy and excited for warmth....

Wow, not fair! You can overwinter your cannas in the ground. Here we have to dig them up in the fall. I love your helper.

Nice looking enclosures & dog.
How do you get your pictures to come out like that?
I always end up resizing my photos to small.
Thanks

Looks great! I'm sure they enjoy having the space to roam outside.

I want to build a pen in our backyard this year too for our tortoise.

Mike. I upload all of my pictures to a photobucket account. Once they've loaded, I copy the "image link" and paste it right on to the page. The site will automatically re-size the pictures for me.

What is all that green stuff on the ground? I feel like all grass is White and cold these days...

Haha! We have grass in our back yard all winter long for some reason. We just don't get enough snow to kill it, I guess. Is your grass still white and cold? lol
