How cold is too chilly to have a Sulcata outside in?
We have an indoor(barn) and outdoor area. The outdoor area is to far to run a cord for a heat lamp. It's the cleanest, best grassy area with no dangerous weeds area, but to far got plugging in a heat lamp.
The days have been overcast and 60's. He's a 12 y/o, not a hatchling or yearling (not sure if age makes a difference)
We bring him out by day and in by night since the nights have been running
high 40's to low 50's.
Is there a min temp it should be outside for him to be outside.
Unfortunately his outdoor and indoor areas ate like 400 ft apart.

UVB lighting? Is that for hatchlings and yearlings or all ages of Torts?
I so want to do right by my torts. I've so many questions in so many areas of their care. Been reading and reading, honest I have.
Thank you for putting up with a newbie.

If hes going outside everyday he doesnt need any UVB lighting. I would bring him in if its in the 40's and low 50's. And dont worry about it everybody is a newbie at some point right?

With days in the 60s and nights in the 40s, you need to provide him with a warm area. They can't go on like that for very long without getting sick. Luckily summer is coming quick, but he still needs an appropriate heated shelter.
