I recently tapped into an inside wall outlet, drilled a hole in my cement exterior wall and mounted a waterproof exterior outlet to power things for my tortoises.
Now I have exterior extension cords with the connections/plugs in waterproof boxes, each with a safety breaker on a timer powering a simple 75 watt black light in each of the two night houses. Each light has a drop loop before entering the houses.

Maybe overkill but I don't like getting electrocuted.
I also cut door flaps to keep out the breeze but not the tortoises.

Simple and good enough to cut about 15 degrees off of the outside air temps.

I was fortunate that the previous house owner ran the electric from Bob's shed to the box in conduit under the ground. I wouldn't know how to do what you just did....
