Hi guys,

Just doing my occasional check-in on my tortoise’s health.

I’ve recently noticed that the lines between each section of his shell have become more pronounced. Is this normal as he grows or is this a sign that something need to be changed?

The picture of him laying down with his legs out is an older photo but shows how the lines on his shell were a little less pronounced compared to now.

Generally speaking, I don’t suspect any pyramiding as his shell is relatively smooth but I’m not an expert. Just want to make sure everything is fine as he gets bigger :)

Looks a happy chilled tort, with lots of growth. I say keep doing what your doing? assuming your doing regular soaks? Try rubbing in coconut oil on the shell and around new growth as that helps moisturise.
