Hi,
We adopted 6 tortoises recently. They brought so much joy to our family including our two little kids. We live in North Cyprus which is in the Mediterranean. The area surrounding our house is full of vegetation. Are they Greek Tortoises? Can anyone identify the species and the age of them?
Thank you!

I will get someone to ID them. In the meantime I would not house the smaller ones with the bigger ones and do not house in pairs.
Two males together will fight and should not be housed together unless they have a very big yard to live in with separate food and water stations, hides, etc.

Hi and welcome.
They could be Greeks, but I'm not sure.
Probably a Mediterranean species though so this is the caresheet you'll need -
It's the most up to date you'll find anywhere and will help you with general care.

Thank you very much for the reply. Do you think any of them is mature enough to identify as male or female?

Pics of my 3 biggest tortoises. Is any of them big enough to tell the gender?
10 cm is nearly 4 inches.

I'm not sure if they are old enough yet, but if you post a close up of their tails so that we can see the length of it and the shape of cloaca, someone may be able to help. The plastrons of males tend to be concave.

The first one looks female. The second one looks Male. The bottom pic may be too small yet to sex. These are my guesses of what they look to be.
When I enlarge the pics they get a big blurry so I don't have a clear view.
Thanks a lot for your help!
