Hi everyone....I'm Bill and have owned a Leopard Tortoise for 21 years now. He is part of the family. His name is Abner and is a free range yard roamer in the summer and a winter basement dweller in the winter.
I was actually interested in getting another one or two, possibly a female and hope they have adorable little hatchlings in a few years.

Hello and welcome from south Florida.
Read up about experiences with adding another tortoise.
    Pairs should be avoided.
It's best to have 2 or 3 (or more) females per Male. And that's something you can do with a nice yard!

Hi Bill, and welcome to the Forum!

Keep in mind that tortoises do not want or need company and if you only get ONE, you will have a constant fight on your hands. They do better alone or with more than two. Even having said that, you still have to be aware that they may not get along, and be prepared to make a whole other enclosure to house the 'girls.'

Welcome to the forum! Abner is a cutie. I love his name! I am also a leopard owner, and they are a great breed to interact with. Would love to see more pics of Abner!
