Just joined this amazing forum and haven't purchased a tortoise yet because there's SOo much to know.
I didn't want to purchase from a chain store and was wondering what some of the best breeders/places are to purchase from?
Being my first time I wanted to go for a Cherry head Tortoise or a Red footed tortoise... Are there some that are better for beginners?
I was thinking to go with a yearling, but reading comments I'm thinking because I'm new to go with a baby & kind of wanted it to know me as it grows,, sort of like a closer bond. Is that a thing? Haha
