New Redfoot hatchling and enclosure

I am so excited to have a Redfoot again. Please disregard the temperature that the thermostat is showing. We had just finished the enclosure and I was excited to get pics. We set up the whole enclosure before the hatchling arrived so it was nice an warm on arrival.

Hey Bud!

I have bad news. You aren't going to be able to maintain the correct temps and humidity for a RF with an open topped enclosure, and RFs don't need a basking lamp. Your new little one is going to pyramid in that enclosure.

Thanks for the info. Guess I should have taken better photos. The enclosure is not open top. I took the picture from above before finishing the roof. The big fixture has a che. The other has a bulb for light only. Open looking sides actually have plexiglass over them.

I like it, and what a pretty little baby!! What do you have in the other enclosures against the wall?

That is where our 7" sulcata is temporarily housed for the winter. Much bigger enclosure is in the works.
