It was finally warm enough in New Hampshire that I felt comfortable getting Darwin into her outside enclosure for a few hours to enjoy the sun and exploring and nibbling on real plants.

She's also got a pool in the enclosure that warms up quite nicely on a sunny day.

She's a lovely tortoise, and seemed to have a wonderful time outside today.

I got Darwin outside today, and she was nibbling at grass and weeds like a savage!!!

Check out this hitchhiker on her carapace... yikes... it surprised the heck out of me as I was reaching out to give Darwin's shell a scratch when the spider moved.

It looks like she is carrying a nest underneath. Or she killed a big bug for carryout. Icky

I have a curious question. I've seen on FB (yeah I know fake baloney) however a couple people mentioned their Vet saying if a female red food does not lay eggs by 8 years old that it will kill them. Is this for real or just more FB baloney? Since you have a young female adult RF it seems relevant.
