Hello everyone!

I am a new Red Foot owner living in Puerto Rico (Caribbean). Atom was born on April 12, 2013, and arrived at our family on July.

Temperature around here fluctuates arround 70 to 95 degrees. Humidity levels are always hi 80% plus. Inside the house sometimes lower.

We are humidifing the shell al least twice a day. Because is small (less than a year) we are giving it lettuce and fruits.

Plese let us know if the growth is ok by looking at the photos.

Thanks!!!

Arrival

very nice looking red foot you must be doing a good job but if that is iceberg lettuce (head lettuce) you will be getting a lecture by other members on how it is not nutritious. I give my red foots endive and escarole and sometimes some Romain lettuce. So I guess I beat them to it.
ha ha.

Hello and welcome...please click the link the tortoise library and search for redfoot care. Lettuce is not a good diet. There are lots of good things to feed...good looking redfoot you got there...

Hello and Welcome. You have the perfect wether there for a Red Foot. I am always hoping to see one in the wild when I visit St Thomas, but so far I have had no luck.
