New Owner

Hello Everyone, my name is Amy and my 4 year old Horsefield Tortoise is called Sheldon

I only got him yesterday and am starting to set up his new home. I'm confused about what type of lighting I am supposed to use in his tortoise table and I am supposed to be going to look at some tonight.
Any advice would be really helpful as I am a first time tortoise owner and I want to make his enclosure as good as possible.

A Florescent UVB and a CHE (ceramic heat emitter) will work good. Depending on how cold your area gets, you may need two Che's. Do not use any coil type bulbs, they cause eye problems. Also, sand can cause impaction, not recommended either.
