New to tortoises but not to reptiles. Have had my sulcata Aesop, Ace for short, for a month now. Built his indoor table my self, he likes it a lot. Can't wait to come up with an outdoor structure when the weather is right. My pit/pointer mix, Loretta, doesn't want to eat him but is curious to the point of convulsions. Glad I found this forum and all it's helpful info.

Hi and welcome! Are you enjoying Ace like you had thought you would or more?

Thanks everybody, Ace is great. I'm surprised at how much personality he has, I loved my snake and skink but they kept to themselves. I read the link and would never leave my dog and tortoise alone together. She can't even stay out of the trash, a tortoise table is WAY to tempting.

Hi welcome. I wouldn't keep the dog near the tortoise table unless you have it protected by wires.

I just want to let everyone know, I am VERY careful when it comes to my dog/tortoise interaction. Besides, Aesop will be moving outside in a few months.
