Hi I was adopted by my marginated tortoise earlier in the year. He turned up at my mother in laws outside dining area. After attempting to find his previous owner if there was one, we became proud owners of a lovely little lad. We made a make do enclosure on our balcony and now we are building a new home and his new home came before ours! He has successfully moved and seems happy. He has several hides and sun and shade. We live in Cyprus in the Mediterranean so hot most of the year. Fortunately I have a Brother in uk who has a Herman’s tort, so put me o to the different forums phew. i attach pics of his new enclosure it’s 12’x12’. Plants outside as well as inside, he’s eaten most already inside. The outside ones will give more shade eventually. We also have grape vines planted outside so they grow over next season. This has been a huge learning curve but we love our fella a lot already. He’s grown so big in the six months we had him! Anyway here’s the enclosure.

his name is Xenos, it’s Greek for stranger. My father in law on the day he turned up said in Greek, “welcome stranger” so we kept that as his name. ?
