Nice job on the photos; some text was a bit small to read and obscured when I tried to increase the page view. But most I was able to read OK. Thanks for your time and effort.

I saw the plastron photos, and I have been wondering about my 2-year-old Hermann's who has a very distinct and high (raised) plastron, which seemed to have developed over the last six months. He seems to raise off the ground a bit when he lowers himself, that is, when not standing on his feet. The ridges are black. His shell and skin seems normal otherwise, better -- smoother, shiny, symmetrical, etc., -- than some other Hermann's photos.

I searched under plastron on the site but didn't find any posts about plastron growth directly, most were about gaps or discoloration, etc.

My little Gaius is dying I am afraid...He hasn't eaten in two days; while his other two siblings are doing wonderful...I checked with the vet....the man who sold them to me also....No luck...the vet had never even seen a Hermanni before....I guess Merlin and Arthur will have to make it by themselves. Thanks
