I have this sulcata tortoise. It is about 11 in in size and 5 years old. I know it is a bit young to tell. But what do you think it is. My guess is female.

It is too small to be sure. They can change totally between 11" and 15".

If I had to guess at this point, I would say male. The opening between anals and spracaudal is narrow. The anals are long and could easily start flaring outward. The gular looks a bit like its starting to elong. The supracaudal does look like it is starting to curve inward.

This can all change the other way at this size!! But watch these things for a best guess as things progress.

I’m going to stick with female based on the short tail and the head mass and based off the fact that it’s five years old and that size it’s growing a little slower than some of my males 35 pounds in five years females were slower so even though I can’t tell for sure I am going with female is my I guess just in my opinion
