So this has been done before and trust me I've scoured them looking for matching plants. I think I've gotten most of them right for my Dalmatian Hermanns but i still have a few questions. I've included pictures of the plant and the leafs. Top and bottom. For better identification.

Plants 1 and 4. What on earth are these?
Plant 2. Broadleaf Plantain? I have been operating under the assumption that it is and the torts seem to like eating it.
Plant 3. Another type of Plantain? Haven't fed yet.
Plant 5. I think its a Plantain.
Plant 6. Narrow leaf Plantain.

Been also feeding Clovers, Dandelion, Romaine, Grass and etc. They hate the store bought Grassland Tortoise Food and timothy hay. I;m trying to grow as much as possible so by winter I have enough to dried weeds to supplement the Spring Mixes from the grocery stores.

Any idea what plant 1 and 4 are? And am I identifying the others correctly? Help me Obi-wan Kenobi . . . you guys are my only hope.

Plant one is a sow thistle.

Plant two I think is sorrel. Is it sour? Sorrel tastes like a cross between lemon and spinach. Sorrel is a plant about which folks are deeply divided. Some strictly avoid it because it is high in oxalates which can theoretically bind with calcium. Others don’t think oxalates in moderation are the devil and don’t go out of their way to avoid them. I’ve seen it on some tortoise safe lists. I’m in the “eh” category on oxalates but you do whatever feels comfortable for you. It’s good in salads if you don’t want to feed it!

Plant three I’m not sure. One of the dandelion relatives: safe.

Ditto for four and five. They might all be sow thistle! But safe.

I believe plant six is narrow leaf plantain.

Thank you so very much. Plant 2 is indeed Sorrel. I tasted it. I've decided to incorporate it about once a month and give it it's own pot. Its growing like . . . well. . . a weed. The others are mostly as I though. Thank you for looking at them and giving me peace of mind.

So I went weeding for weeds to add to my garden across the street again (there's a field) and found a few new weeds to I.D.

Photo 7. Can't find it online. I'm hoping its not spinach. I'ts now planted and i'll watch it for a few months. I wont feed.

The others are unknown. I felt like I saw Unknown 2 before on a safe list but I'm unsure. Unknown 1 is foreign completely. I thought it might be Knapweed but it's not. It is definitely not a Thistle.

I think pic 7 is amaranth; occasional feed.

The pink one is pink clover; safe.

I am sure I know the third but...not at this moment!
