My tortoise sleeps all day!!!

Hi, I would like to know if my tortoise is ok. She seems to sleep all day every day unless I take her outside. I have a uva + uvb light and the temperature in the tortoise table is around 85degrees and is around 95degrees under her basking lamp. She eats plenty when she is awake but I have to wake her up to eat. I am so confused please help me I am really worried about her.

Is the tortoise new to you? Sometimes it takes a tortoise a couple weeks to settle in.

Your temperature might be a bit low. It should get up to at least 100 directly under the light. You can achieve this by lowering the light a bit. Do you have plenty of cover in the habitat? And how big is your tortoise? Babies are prey, and they stay hidden a lot. It would be nice for us to be able to see a picture of your tortoise in his habitat. We might be better able to help you.
