Is not here yet- but check out this weird tracking info!

He/she is out for delivery! Medford is only half an hour from my house!
Also, ONTARIO, CA, US? Weird. I hope they kept him warm.

Congrats on the incoming bundle of joy.

I think Ontario, CA must be a major hub. All my packages come through there too.

I am soo excited! Can't wait to see pics of the new baby! Did you happen to get a hatch date? I'm not sure what to consider Cody's birth date.

ARRIVED!

He was UPSIDE DOWN in his box. Horrifying. It's been 15 minutes, and he has just now opened his eyes for the first time! He is clearly stressed out and scared.
He just yawned!

We soaked a little bit, and now he's sitting to the side of his heat lamp out of the soak.

His eyes are just barely open, I'm worried :/

Pictures in a second

The box is clearly marked- but as the UPS guy was bringing it over to me, he carried it sideways! I'm hoping that's when it happened, and he wasn't upside-down all morning.
He's walking around now! Just a little, but at least his eyes are fully open finally.

Here we go with pictures:
The clearly marked box:

The soak:

Too scurred to look!

Soaking near the light because the water was getting cold:

There are 2 hides, 2 water bowls, and a plant to hide in. The water bowls are the kind people get for hermit crabs- stairs in and out. Basking spot is 93 F, cool end is 78-82 ish.

I'm so happy!! He is the tiniest creature I've ever seen. He has dark rings around his eyes like a racoon.

He's really exploring now! He looks really confused too.
He is 100% baby, which is both frightening and exciting.
I'm going to try some warm Mazuri after he wakes up a bit more.

he wont touch the mazuri... but please try it.. i suggest crushing it and sprinkling it over his food. then squirt his food with a water bottle to soften it.

I have 3 leo hatchlings that have never touched it.

Also i bet he will be so scared he wont eat for a few days, but keep on trying

He ate! Several big bites of Mazuri!

I think it might be because Richard Fife feeds it- he came with a little sample bag. I was still completely shocked though! I didn't expect him to try it.
Now he's tasting everything in his enclosure- the plastic hide, and the moss. I don't think I'm going to have any problems feeding this guy. He just bit his water bowl!

I think I'm going to call him Quinby :)

He has these adorable spots and stripes on his neck, but I can't get a good picture of it yet.

Ha, that's because I took about 9 million, and only posted 4 million!
And the cuteness must run in the family :) :)
