My dream tort, so cute. You're going to want to get rid of that water dish tho and use a Tera cotta saucer instead or something similar :)

Nice looking Star.

Are those substrate easy for the little guy to walk?

Yeah seems to be walking around fine if any of them are sticking up or in big pieces I tend to remove them or flatten the surface. Yeah the first day I didnt have a tea strainer for the calcium powder so it went on a little heavy but ive invested in one since so its ok now and not so visible. I have a low depth jar lid for water at the moment which is what I was recommended to use by the breeder and the other dish is full all the time just incase she wants to venture into it for a dip for extra rehydration although she hasnt yet

Agree! Just get a shallow terra cotta plant saucer. The one you have is dangerous. She could tip and drown! Beautiful star!

Forgot to mention that you should give her plenty of warm sprays.

The one I have is bigger than it looks it is only about 1 cm deep!

And ive been advised to only spray her once a day aroumd feeding time; is that correct?
