My friends tort has something going on with his eye

Looks like he's either injured it or has a foreign body in it. Try flushing it with sterile saline solution and afterwards dab on some of this;

You can get it either from a vet or from a feed store. (or online)

Hard to tell from the angle of the photo, but the other eye looks like it's bulging more than I'm used to. Might be time for a vet visit, but in the meantime, make sure that it's getting enough Vitamin D & calcium in its diet.

What temperatures do you have: warm side, cool side, directly under the basking lamp and overnight minimum?

How frequently do you soak and for how long?

What type of lamp are you using for UVB?

What substrate do you have?

Dehydration, temperatures, lighting and substrate can all affect eyes

he cant open his eyes?
i have this issue too, but my torto eyes still can open a bit and i can see the foreign object inside his eyes....
i drop some water above his head then he will slowly open his eyes and i can see the object, im using nothing sharp and try to pick from his eyelid...
does he want to eat??
