Here are some pics of a few of my fish. I have 6 fish tanks total. Some I have raised from about 1/2" long, and others I have rescued from people that had them in too small of a tank.

yes, the first pic is a true giant gourami...only about 7-8" right now, but he is growing fast! Can't wait until he's 2' long!

yep, thats a black piranha...no telling her age b/c she was wild caught. they don't grow that big in captivity. They get around 9" and then stop for the most part. This one is 13" and is one of the only proven females in captivity (she laid eggs). i would breeed her, but they kill anything in their tank, so I would have to divide a tank and I cant guarentee I'll get a male....and they cost a lot

Just curious why the piranha has no gravel in his tank? Your fish are beautiful! And you did a really nice job with the pictures...no flash-back!

It had black sand in it (you can see a little still) but the sand is just too messy and gets sucked up when we clean, so we are just throwing it out as it gets sucked out. We have a few bare bottom tanks though. They are easier to clean, and sometimes they even look nicer. Most have a natural gravel though. thank you for your compliments!!

I love the arowana (sp?) pic~! I had to sell mine when he outgrew my 50 gallon tank (he was almost 18" long). Besides, my hubby was complaining we spend more on food for the fish than we did for ourselves LOL

Here are a few photos of my last salt tank. Before the red algae whipped out everything.

Thanks Maggie. It was a beautiful tank. It was taken over by red algae that spread within a month and killed off everything. Everything in the tank was a living organism.

Not sure I’d be willing to start another salt tank for a while. I’m actually thinking about getting another tortoise :shy:

Awesome! I love the picture of the pleco eating, and I've always wanted to keep frontosas. <3 Gorgeous saltwater tank. Curious, how big are your tanks? The largest aquarium I've kept is a 90gal, and I can't imagine the maintenance on a tank with so many large fish!

My salt tank was a 40-gallon. I wouldn’t start a salt tank any smaller. Fresh water? A ten-gallon would work depending on what type fish you wanted
