So a guy at his work has a trio of ball pythons he's selling for $300 with the tank. I just want the tank, but it comes with the snakes. I have two snakes and was told no more, but now my boyfriend has decided he wants to try his hand at 1.2 with Gravid females. I'm not so thrilled bc I know who will end up caring for for everything.

The tank is the most exciting part.
The whole bottom of the tank is silicon with four heat pads on top of that with 1/2 thick glass on top of that so the whole bottom stays heated. There is 3 gallon water bowl with tubes running to a bucket underneath so you can drain it without going into the tank. There is a built in fan and humidifier to keep humidity around 80%.

If you plan on using it for torts, I wouldn't use the under glass heat. The heat will build up with the flat bottoms if the torts and they will burn, as they heat from above, not below.

Thanks. I'm aware. As much as I'd like to make it tortoise approved, the tank comes with the snakes, so they will remain in it.

That is a very neat enclosure! I could see the under tank heat being rather handy for torts, if hooked to a thermostat to keep the temps low. Gorgeous snakes, too--though I would highly recommend separating the trio into their own enclosures, as snakes generally do not do well when cohabitated.

Thanks everyone. He's excited. They are coming tomorrow. I'm not thrilled. I see him feeding once frozen and once live, and then getting bored with them. At that point, I will have to step in. We will see he may surprise me.

Floof, I definitely agree with you. I generally keep all my snakes separate. I will definitely voice my opinion, but I can't force changes until he's given up and gotten bored. These guys have been together for 3 years.

I found out today that one of the females was abused before my boyfriend's buddy got her. She has a huge scar down her back. When he picked her up from previous owners, he saw melted candle wax in the tank with her where it wasn't cleaned up, so he thinks they poured it on her. They claimed they rescued her like that.

He said 150 gallon. I'm not sure though. He made the setup. The floor has three glass panels with cutouts for the under tank heaters. One of the panels is removed for the water.

This looks like trouble, but my bf and his buddy are both electricians. So since the guy built it, I assume it's good to go.

This would be so easy to turn into a tortoise enclosure. It has two small UV tubes and the center clamp set up. And, since the UTH's can be removed, it'd be so easy.

Oh well...
