@lazybfarm how warm do you keep your guys at night? We heat the air in their night box to 85 with an oil filled heater and there is a fan to circulate the air. We also have two kane mats mounted on opposite walls where they tend to sleep. I never thought to measure the temperature of the soil in the nightbox.

Yes Mark , the temps in their enclosures only drop to 82 at night , plus they are always in high humidity environments
I just weighed my other Aldabra, Jackson, this morning and he now weighs more than General . They go through different growth spurts , but over time they seem to be almost the same growth rates.

@Markw84's advice about the ground temperature got me thinking so I added a sensor to measure the soil temperature in their night box. I only have 24 hours of data so far but last nights low air temperature and low soil temperature matched. Right now the soil temperature is about 8 degrees cooler though.

General weighed 7580g this morning . He will come to me from inside his enclosure to let me pick him up to go outside . He is very outgoing and not shy at all , but I have handled him almost every day of his life , He associates me with the good things in life , I guess ???

They look great. Is the conduit a bumper to keep them from rubbing on the blocks?

Yes, I put in the conduit so they would not rub against the rock wal , it works like a charm. The only drawback is the 3’”PVC conduit is @ $100 per 10’. Luckily I already had the conduit !
