So I was looking around on Craigslist a few weeks ago and stumbled on what looked like a really nice enclosure for 100.00 bucks. I send a message asking for more pics. First up is the picture they posted
Now it looked pretty nice and I figured I would close off the vents and use it as a closed chamber for my hatchling box turtles. They sent me a few more pictures and it didn't look ask good as the picture on Craigslist so I then asked if they would take 50.00 because I wasn't sure how much work had to be done to repair it.
I didn't hear back from them for a few days so I figured someone else went ahead and bought it, no biggie. Well they got back and said they could go 50. I told them I would come take a look at it and see what I thought. I went to the house and from the pictures I wasn't surprised when I got to the house at the mess. Wow I didn't know people lived this bad. I take a look and figured it was worth about 40 but I threw out 20 to start and explained that it was in need of repairs. Both ends had been chopped up, one worse than the other.
They had told me they were told to clean the house or be served with eviction notices and were just getting rid of things so they took the 20. I've made several repairs as you can see and all the stuff I had at home so it hasn't cost me anything more than the 20.
I have 2 large concrete tubs put together that will hold the substrate instead of just putting it down on the tile that was installed in it.
Now to the fun part of decorating it.
