Being a native of a "non-basement" State (I think our State Constitution prohibits them or something) I have never fully appreciated all the possibilities a basement provides for herpers. I generally just think of basements as places where mass-murderers keep the corpses in the freezer...but now I wish I had one. (For animals, not corpses.)

Corpses...
1. remove cement floor in a 4 ft square
2. dig down 6 ft
3. deposit previously killed corpse in hole
4. dump 1 ft of lye over corpse
5. fill hole and corpse with dirt
6. pour cement and cover hole
7. go to bed
8. set up a 400 gallon turtle tank over the hole
9. fill tank with live turtles
10. done! Ta Da!

I do if I cleaned up some junk down there lol. I've been seriously thinking about getting a breeding group of ornate wood turtles "Rhinoclemmys pulcherrima". I really like them.
