I have a 9cm 5 year old Hermann's. Last year I had him in a temporary outdoor enclosure as we still had some work to be done in his area of the garden so this year I need to make something more permanant. My husband and I disagree on the size it should be I would like it to be as big as possible whereas my husband would like as small as possible, so what is the minimum space he should have as a fully grown adult as I want to make this enclosure last his whole life. His current space is around 2/2.5m2 which is sufficent for him at the moment but I would like it to be larger.

I would say the minimum outdoor space for a Hermanni would be about 10'x20'. Is he going to die in a smaller space - no, but he'll be much happier in a larger area. With a large area you have more room to add boulders, plants, etc. And these sight barriers make the enclosure seem even bigger to a little animal on the ground trying to see around them.
