Millipedes? X_X

Are garden millipedes beneficial at all? I have found some all of a sudden under a feeding slate and now I'm a little concerned. I have never had these before so I just want to be sure. They are 100% garden millipedes though.

I'm not a huge fan of millipedes and centipedes, so I thought I'd double check with all you

Millipedes eat decaying plant matter, similar to a pill bug. They shouldn't hurt a tortoise.
