Hello everyone!
Phyllis is a Russian Tortoise that I have had for about 9 years. She has always been easy to care for, healthy and active. She just spent the last 3 months living with my in-laws and a majority of her time was spent in an outdoor enclosure eating dandelion and clover.
Now that she is back at home I am noticing some (6) small white pits on her shell and am wondering if they look like Shell Rot or abrasions? She has been kept in a slightly moist coconut fiber for most of her life but I am now trying to allow her to free-roam my apartment. She gets soaked in warm water each day and has a ceramic plate for heat and UVB bulb in her basking area. She is in need of a beak trim too and I will be taking her to the vet in the next month.
Any wisdom and treatment advice is greatly appreciated!
