Hard to see the tail, but I guess it could be a male tail.

The mother of this tortoise weighs 1100 gram and is 50 years old. The father weighs about 600 gram.

I can update you that this is a female

Did the ultimate test to let my mal smell her, and he acted like its a female. When I put a male in front of him its a different game
So now one of my males have 4 Girls and the other has Three. In the outside pen all go togheter but inside I have them divided up in 2 Groups.

I've had males chase and mount other males...so that's not a fool proof method of gender identification.

Yes but I could also ser the tail and cloak area in real life and the tail was quite shorter then the on the photo.
