14DE833E-9DC4-4675-8C0B-C7B8EF0AD0B2.png Hello all! I recently sourced some opuntia from outside. It’s not treated with any pesticides. While I was preparing it I noticed little bristles or spikes on the inside. Is this normal and ok to feed to my yearling torts? Thanks!!

Those aren't spikes. Those are the fibrous "veins" that run through the pads. Your tortoise can eat the pads, spikes, glochids, veins and all.

Kalanchoe should not be fed to animals. Both of those are kalanchoe, which contains cardiac glycosides.

I was going to say that I don't have experience with those, but they look like kalanchoe to me, and I wouldn't feed it to them with out confirming.

Thanks to Yvonne for confirming. :)
