Beautiful terrapin, I wish my false map did not always eat all the duckweed like yours it looks nice!

Reptilony Thankyou. Its a very friendly turtle! I cant get her to eat the duckweed even if i tried[emoji1] was hoping i can keep tosing my aquarium duckweed in for her but her tub got overtaken. Never knew terrapins were such active and great pets. She comes out to bask if im sitting in my arm chair next to her enclosure.

Update on Binkey. His Shell uneveness is getting better new growth is flattening slowly. One side is flat, the side that was jutting upwards when i got him has some mild pyramiding i will hope goes away with time. His dome seems to have gotten some height. Aside from that hes very active and runs around nonstop, comes out of his hide multiple times a day to eat and now prefers his Grassland tortoise over his greens.

Coming in at 185 grams and nice start to Month 5

Pic: 177 grams a week ago, 185 today. Cant hold him in one hand anymore without risking a fall as hes squirmy while taking pics so here he is on my lap20190401_230027.jpeg20190401_230231.jpeg20190403_203350.jpeg20190403_203831.jpeg

Binkey just finished 5 months, we are moving into May month 6 since hatching.....so far so good. Now that we have spring and good weather in Chitown he is getting his grass and best his dandelions, up in Gurnee my moms lawn is a HODGEPODGE of greens, i have no idea what im looking at, anything to watchout for? I attached a photo of this purple type weed anyone know what it is?

Binkey coming in at 222 grams.

He sleeps alot more now but when out hes veey active. Hes mostly been on store bought stuff and grassland tortoise, now i have him on mostly grass and weeds i had no issues atall when introducing those, also, hes getting some mazuri (which he doesnt like!). I have been soaking his sticking cactus in a heap of grass and no issues. Pyramiding i think is getting much better, hes looking mostly flat. Month 7 [emoji4] He’s growing! Had some issues with constipation ever since I’ve added the mazuri tortoise diet(soaked). Don’t know if this is the issue. He still gets his cactus and daily soaks but the mazuri is making him a picky eater, something he started out not wanting to touch now he goes nuts for. He’s leaving more of his greens uneaten.i will try to cut mazuri to once a week instead of twice a week and see if it improves things. His shell is relatively smooth, better then what I expected from when I got him as a dry started hatchling with warped scutes, his top scutes still have a small amount of bumpyness I’m hoping will smooth out like the rest

Little binkey is smoothing out even more this month hell never be 100% but im ok with that. Open top enclosure the whole time ;) still using mercury vapor and basking bulb even tho my fish rooms humidity isnt as high as winter, stays in the 70s. Wish he could stay more still, when hes out he doesnt stop but most of the time hes tucked away in his humid hide.

We are officially 7 months old since hatching! Coming in at 325 g think he might be behind on weight, he hasnt been eating everyday this month. Hell go thru days he sleeps all day. The mazuri tortoise was the constipation factor, i even tried laying it on a whole portion of chopped cactus and soaking it till its just goop, still constipated. i give it to him once a week now but hes set on semi starving himself until he gets some lol so i might cut it out completely. Anyone dealing with this? His urates are healthy and mushy and he urinates often so it doesnt seem like dehydration to me. When he starts eating his greens his poops are back to normal.

His agression comes and goes most of the time hes nice i curbed alot of it with treats early on but it still shows up when hes having grumpy days and its nearly impossible to clean his enclosure when hes like that, now it hurts if im not careful and has potential to break skin, most days hell sniff me and walk away instead of charge. If my husband handles him hell hiss every time (im his main caretaker)[emoji23] so much attitude!

I think they get friendlier when they are bigger and don't see you as much of a threat. Every time I'm outside, Charlie comes over to see what I'm doing; probably seeing if I brought him anything.

Charlie's never had mazuri. If it causing constipation, I would cut it out for awhile.

Charlie sounds like such a gentle giant [emoji173] i cant wait till Bank Master/Binkey/ Banksy is big enough! Thankyou BigCharlie I just see so many feeding Mazuri, so im on the fence about removing but now im almost positive its causing the issues, I will try July without it and see if his appetite picks up.

So far July has been a breeze without Mazuri. Nomore constipation and less sleeping.much less grumpy too, lets me pet him and clean his cage. Since i started taking him outdoors hes much more welcoming of me. I stick to the grassland like before and hes doing much better. Hes loving the weather outdoors in Chicago right now a nice humid hot swamp[emoji24]. This is his 8th month and he is definetley bigger then I expected at this age. He started out more flat domed but his dome is getting nice and round and high.20190717_124409.jpg20190717_112145.jpg20190717_124427.jpg
