Lingering Issues?

How many of you are getting errors? Having trouble with certain features?
How come the media gallery doesn't have like 10,000 tortoise photos already?!

It's intended to be a centralized place where people can upload photos and videos. I figured people would get creative with it and make albums for their hatchlings to track how they grow or create an album for an enclosure build project.
It's a good reference for people to see different types of tortoises, turtles, enclosures, setups, etc.

I've been looking for the feature that will lead me to the threads I've started. So I can see if there have been new comments. The old format had that.. I'm guessing I can watch my own thread and check that way ??
I've gone to Your Content but that shows ALL my activity while I'm looking specifically for my threads, like before. Did that make sense?

I was avoiding the media/albums because of the error message..but that's cleared up now

@Team Gomberg You should be automatically "watching" all your own threads. Consequently you should get an alert each time new content is posted to one of your threads. If not, you can go to your profile page (http://www.tortoiseforum.org/members/team-gomberg.26696/) and under the "Information" tab you will find links to posts by you and threads by you.

length of the signature.... what is the limited no. of characters we can enter in our signature? because it is giving me this error....

i was only changing "5" to "3" in the no. of fishes....
but what is awkward is that it still accepts my unedited long signature

I was just discussing these limits with the mods. I think we were deciding on something around 100 characters and 3 lines

Hi Josh!

Just a couple other things I have noticed about the app.

The "participated" section shows up blank. And app users can't see signature blocks. I know this was the same for the last app but some members use their blocks to put useful info in them and it is really useful to point new users to them.

Other than that, I'm really enjoying the new app! Once you get used to it, it is so much more user friendly!

While some features of the new app are made better, and thank you for those improvements, the overall simple transparency of the app was sacrificed in lieu of fanciness.

Mostly everything is gray on gray shades now, much harder for eye to navigate quickly. Old app was mostly black on white, easier on the eyes.

Now only 3posts per screen when browsing?? Old app displayed 5 or 6 posts. More scrolling is now needed to browse thru posts just so the list appears fancier.

What happened to 3 most used functions at the top? "Recent" "favorites" "participated". Now sub menu has to be pulled to switch between these most used functions.

The posts now don't indicate whether the thread contains images.

10minutes now to edit a post as opposed to 30min.

Regardless, I really hope the app stays. The mobile web version is no match.

@abclements @mikeh the mobile app titled "TortForum" should be IDENTICAL to the old app. Are you guys using the TortForum app or the Tapatalk app?

I reinstalled "Tort forum". I don't have "Tapatalk" installed. However I looked at tapatalk app and the tort forum has their layout.

Since mine is blue, I went to the App Store to see which one I have. I do not have the Tapatalk version.

@mikeh @Elohi that's the right app. You're saying it's different than it was last week? I have the app on my phone, I just didn't and don't use it as in-depth as some of you do... It should be more functional now, not less. Things like search should work. Participated tab, etc.

Mine updated quite some time back. It used to be green instead of blue. My search function and participated have never worked though.

Yes Josh, it looks different then before the update. It now uses tapatalk layout. I am using Android, search and participated features do not work.
