Light spot on head

Anyway, I noticed this light colored spot on my 1 year old sulcata today. Does anyone know what this is?

Looks like he lost that scale.

I don't know? I have had him for a week and a half and this is my first tortoise. I am not sure what a missing scale looks like and also not sure how he would have lost it?

I'm almost sure it is a missing scale. It would be a scale that matches the one on the opposite side of his face at the same place. They can just scratch it off rubbing their face on something.
Just keep it clean and it should be fine.

Yes it should, but will take a long time. They do everything slow.
