I was reading "life hacks" on FB the other day ( you know, simple ways to use everyday items to improve your life 
& I got to thinking that over the years we have all probably found many common items to make Tortoise/ Turtle keeping easier or even cheaper! Please feel free to share yours, I am always interested in new "tools"
Heres a few of my Tort hacks
HVAC Foil Tape- Great to line lids for hot lights or che's
I use this aluminum tape to edge my cut to size lids to - which are made out of foam insulation board aka tort hack #2- light & holds in the heat & humidity well
Tort hack #3 - air duct dampers to control humidity & air flow.....
Basically, I use anything left over from home remodeling projects
