Happy Birthday Leonardo!!
1 year old today. Wish I was there to celebrate with you.
Can’t wait to see how big you have gotten in the past 4 months.
I’ll see you and mama real soon though.

Leo made 300g today! So proud of him. Amazing that such a lazy creature can survive. ?
Hope he is ready for an adventure and his new home in 10 days. Nervous about sending him with cargo/courier service. Wish he could go in the plane with us.

Leonardo update. My wife had to leave him for a couple nights. Gave him plenty of food and water. When she returned the food had not been touched. He was still hiding in his house exactly where he was when she left.
What’s wrong with this tortoise... after 3 days he’s not hungry?
Is it ok to take his house away long term so he can’t hide?
So frustrated with him. We need him to come out and eat on his own.

Does giving him a warm soak help to invigorate his appetite ?

Leo was swimming tonight. after getting woken up by a call from the neighbor, walk out side to see The yard flooded with about 1/2 meter of water and his garden too. Was sure Leo was gone. But there he was bobbing /swimming around. Not sure how long he was like that. Took him out for a dryer location inside. He seems ok but really worn out by the event. Fed him some pees and hope he’s ok. Got me to thinking maybe he needs a ramp something he can get onto out of the water if this happens again. Sorry no pics.
But I saw some video on here of red foots swimming so I feel better that’s it’s somewhat natural for him.

We made it to 500 grams! ?
Growing well and heathy regardless of how lazy he is. Can’t wait to see what the next 500 look like.
Looks fantastic! Some neat marbling too.
