Okay, So I am getting a small 600x600x600 box made with an inner box of 500x500x550 to put inside the other box. There will be insulation inserted between the walls of the two boxes inside to help with the insulation. I do not need a very big box as the Angulata do not grow very big at all. BUT because the box is on the smaller side, if I put a 40W CHE inside the box, attached to the lid which opens up, will that be sufficient to keep the little ones warm when they go inside. I plan on putting the three little ones outside during the day and bringing them inside at night during the winter. But on the days that the weather changes and while I am work they will be able to go into the box to keep warm (although I hope that I can get them used to the idea that the box is there for warmth when outside if they need it.)

Any reason why you don’t want to with a radiant heat panel overhead vice the CHE?

The gang say Hi. They enjoyed some outside time yesterday. We are waiting for their box to be finished, then I can put in the insulation and then Rue, Clark and Harry will be able to go outside during the day. And if it rains or gets cold they will be able go somewhere warm. 20190414_122701.jpeg20190414_122713.jpeg20190414_122742.jpeg20190414_123749.jpeg20190414_123622.jpeg

I still need to put in a CHE and connect it to power. I will need to take the insulation from under the inner box as it has caused it to raise too much which is preventing the lid to not close properly. And some pics of the gang enjoying outside hiding spots. And the three muskateers having a good long soak afterwards.20190424_173540.jpeg20190424_173551.jpeg20190424_173619.jpeg20190424_173622.jpeg20190424_173627.jpeg20190424_173631.jpeg20190424_173743.jpeg20190424_173714.jpeg20190424_173752.jpeg20190424_173756.jpeg20190424_181517.jpeg

Scooby Doo, got into my outside enclosure. He is not allowed in the front garden, however the front door was left open and he went into the front. He got a hold of Clark and had chewed him before I noticed that he was in the front. I have put Clark in a empty enclosure inside. It has a CHE for heat, a towel for something to line the bottom, water, food and a UVB light. I have cleaned Clark in warm water with betadine in, to clean his wounds and put some healing cream on them. Thankfully it was only Clarks shell which has been hurt. Although that is bad enough. But I will be keeping him on his own for a while until he heals.
The person who left the front door open this morning got into huge trouble and I have reminded the whole family again about the rules concerning the dogs going into the front garden.20190427_143524.jpeg20190427_143616.jpeg20190427_143741.jpeg

Oh, no! Bad dog, Scooby!

I'm so sorry, Carol, you have certainly had your share of troubles lately! It is good news that only his shell (and his pride) were damaged. Hopefully he will shrug it off and eat well for you.

My prayers are with you both.[emoji120]
