It's taken 2 days from a pip to this.
Looks like another dark one. Same female but this is from a clutch of 7, looks like this is the only fertile egg to me. So got 1 from 5 and 1 from 7. Rest still in inco but think are duds. There is one more clutch of 7 too from this female. Now I have 2, I could really do with a third.

I just noticed, that's his other leg. He's spinning around within the egg.

Thoughts please.

Well I just came home to find this. He was going nuts, can't believe how strong they are for the size.

The shell was stuck to his carapace, right or wrong I couldn't leave him like that, so I held him upside down and gently sprayed warm water down the side of the shell all the way around. One small pull and it popped off.
This guy was only 119 day to pip.
Sorry about rubbish photos.

It is hard to take good pics of them when they are fresh out of the egg. They are kinda slimy and you don't want to stress them out too much. That one is a real cutie!

It probably varies, but roughly how long is it before the egg tooth gets absorbed?

very nice. I like to leave them in the incubator until they have fully absorbed the yolk.

Yeah I'm leaving him in incubator till the egg sack is absorbed. I was curious how long the egg tooth takes to go. I have another hatchling at about a month old, still got egg tooth. I thought it would have gone by now.

Egg sack is absorbed, so I've put the little feller into the enclosure with Vader.
I'll take some better photos tomorrow(we are going to have to invest in a macro lens), leaving him to calm down for now.
The back toenails are extremely white:confused:
