is this really a Russian Tortoise?

is this really a Russian Tortoise? Someone told me this is a Russian tortoise but I feel it is more like a Greek or Hermann. He told me it is about 9 inches a female. I don’t think a Russian can grow to this size even if it is a female

No it's not a Horsefield/Russian. Doesn't look happy though. Needs a trim for one.

I would need a couple more pictures of the plastron and carapace before I can make an educated guess. Other members would likely have a better idea.

I have confirmed with him. He made some mistake. This is a Greek
Many pet stores mislabel them. Or mix species and then sell out of one species, but don't take the sign down. Many possibilities.
