Ummmm, Kerryann, can you post a picture? In my minds eye, I'm seeing eucalyptus flowers.

Hm-m-m-m...an organic flower. Then I guess its safe to assume its not made out of crepe paper?

Grown in organic soil with no chemical fertilizer

That looks like an orchid. You probably shouldn't feed it to your tortoise because I'll bet its been treated with all kinds of chemicals to keep it alive for a long time. It looks like it might be a corsage.

Yes, it is an orchids. I have one. They need fertilized once a week. I would not feed.

The flowers came from a man doing a class on environmental sustainability and they came from his students organic lab. He said they water all the plants from a fish tank which naturally fertilizes the water. They are amazing colored and fragrant. He contends that their color and fragrance is unmatched by artificial fertilizers that cause too fast development.
I won't feed it to them but he also gave me some radicchio for hens.
I'm excited about the business sustainability Masters program omg

Nothing like the eucalyptus flower I had visualized.

dendrobium or phalaenopsis orchid...or a hybrid w/parental stock from one of those genii would be my guess

He gave me a plant and its so cute but no flowers yet. The care is so easy. I pour three tablespoons of fish water over the roots weekly and five in the warm summer. :D

What is fish water? I have an orchid that I got last year for mother's day. The flowers fell off and I am wondering how to get it to bloom again. Maybe fish water is the key.

Water from a fish tank :D before you do a water change.
